Annual Coffee Enthusiasts Volunteer Project - The journey of "continuing to give back"

At the end of the year, before each coffee harvest season, The Married Beans becomes bustling with the laughter and warmth of the Volunteers, or as we respectfully call them, "Coffee Enthusiasts."
“Enthusiast” means “enthusiastic, passionate people”, “Coffee Enthusiasts” is a gathering place for people who have a love for this special drink, or are curious about the process of creating a proper cup of coffee.
The project “Coffee Enthusiasts - Inspirational Coffee Journey” is an annual program, lasting two months, from November to January every year, initiated by Mr. Ho Pham Minh Duy, Founder & Director of The Married Beans since 2019. With the message “Inspire and be inspired”, the project is aimed at young people who are interested and want to continue their coffee career. At the same time, with your innocent energy and enthusiasm, The Married Beans team also has the opportunity to reflect and strengthen their journey of creating value for Vietnamese Arabica.
During the 2-month project, volunteers had the opportunity to learn and understand the basic knowledge of coffee from the farm to the finished product, from visiting the garden, harvesting fruit, theoretical classes on coffee processing, or practical sessions on picking defective beans, roasting coffee, to basic brewing classes such as phin brewing, pour over, latte art. In the most recent project, our volunteers also "transformed" into different roles in the coffee value chain (farmers, agents, manufacturing enterprises, F&B enterprises, ...) and debated, clarified the importance of each component in the value chain.
Outside of regular study and work hours, Volunteers can organize free workshops (on gender, sex, psychology, etc.).
In the 2021-2022 coffee season, we were very pleased to welcome 08 volunteers from three regions of the country. At the end of the program, from strangers, everyone came together to become a part of the TMBs family. Although everyone had returned to their old place, everyone brought with them the seeds of love for coffee.
